I launched talent agency Dance Attic Productions with Dee Dee Wilde (of Pans People fame). We regularly booked dancers for the BBC and progressed to placing performers in west end musicals, touring shows, films and TV. We started the careers of presenters Lucy Alexander and Sarah Cawood who went on to present Milkshake & The Girly Show.

I met my husband Trevor Gray just as 90’s dance music hit the scene. He was in electronic/rock band Apollo 440 and we were married and pregnant within 2 years of meeting. I became a personal manager for the band Umboza signed to EMI, I grew my business rebranding it, The Essential Agency before selling it to Entrepreneurs Richard & Fred Fairbrass (of Right Said Fred) to take time out to bring up our children.

Years later I was head hunted by Jabberwocky children’s agency to run the agency for them and I returned to being and agent, booking kids for west end shows, BBC sitcoms and TV commercials. My own children were still young and one of my finest moments was on a conference call to Disney in LA whilst I closed the deal on casting the voice of Christopher Robin while I burnt a pizza in the oven!
